This is my winter beater and daily driver. Purchased off eBay, it had to be towed home. We couldn't get the 305 in the car to run for anything. Replaced the timing chain, changed the distributer and cap, but the best we managed was a backfire that blew up the muffler (really! It was in the shape of an oval pointing the other direction). So we yanked it out, and tossed in the 305 from the Monte. The motor now has almost 200k miles with no rebuild yet; it needs a quart of oil in between oil changes. Has an early version of the 700-r4, so it at least has overdrive. One of the rings just went bad, and it now goes through a quart a week. I hope it'll make to spring break so I can have time to fix the LeBaron and drive it.
