The 383 Short Block
83 Monte Parts Car
This will be the heart of the monte - a 383 short block delivered from Wheeler Motorsports in Florida. I also bought the harmonic balancer and flexpate from them.
It is a 4 bolt main; the internals are Cat compnents and reconditioned rods.
I went with dished pistons to help lower the compression ratio so I can run pump gas.
Again, a 4-bolt main. You can see the clearancing that was required of the short block here.
