The old header panel has seens it's share of wear. I decided to sandblast and paint it. I went through 240 lbs of sand doing this and the three brackets that were with it. Make sure to wear a mask if you sandblast - the sand stings.

I blasted it down to bear metal. Took quite a while; I took it easy to make sure that I didn't over heat and distort the metal. I used about 100 p.s.i. on the blaster.

When I was done, I hung it up between two trees and primed it with rustoleum through a cheap HVLP gun (giving myself some experience before I do my own car). I then proceeded to paint in rustoleum satin black. The clips, bolts, and brackets got painted as well and then reassembled.
